Challenge
Redesign the Dashboard and Trading Interface pages of Think Trader app to create an intuitive, visually engaging, and data-rich experience that empowers both novice and experienced traders to make confident decisions.
Dashboard / Market Watch Redesign

Observations on the Original Design :
-
Overwhelming amount of data displayed at once (e.g., sell/buy, highs/lows, prices).
-
Top bar is crowded and lacks hierarchy.
-
Visual noise due to small text, inconsistent spacing, and redundant info.
-
Limited sense of personalization or user control.
Improvements in the Redesign:
-
Personalised greeting ("Welcome Back!") adds user warmth and engagement.
-
Portfolio card with clear balance and net gain/loss, alongside actionable buttons (Withdraw, Deposit).
-
Simplified and visually clean market list — focuses on name, price, change, and clear trends via icons/graphs.
-
Improved bottom nav bar with recognizable, modern icons.
-
Effective use of color and whitespace to reduce cognitive load.
-
Tabs for Market / Crypto / Jobless Claims offer smoother navigation.
Trading Interface Redesign

Observations on the Original Design :
-
Cluttered top bar with poor visual hierarchy — BUY/SELL buttons are overly dominant and can overlap during interaction.
-
Red/green chart colors pose accessibility challenges for colorblind users and may cause eye strain over prolonged use.
-
Lack of segmentation between controls and information creates a flat, confusing layout.
-
Outdated visual style with minimal spacing leads to a dense, overwhelming interface.
-
Key action buttons (e.g., order placement) are hard to locate and don’t stand out clearly.
Improvements in the Redesign:
-
Modernized visual aesthetic with a dark theme that reduces eye strain and adds visual depth.
-
Streamlined top bar with clean BUY/SELL buttons and clearly defined labeling.
-
Tabs layout (Overview, Info, Alerts) introduces clear segmentation and improves navigation. Improves the user flow
-
Enhanced chart readability with better spacing and improved color contrast.
-
Consistent iconography and design language across UI elements for a cohesive experience.
-
Added data filters (e.g., 10 mins) and contextual stats (e.g., high/low) to support faster decision-making.
Summary
This analysis and redesign primarily focuses on improving usability, visual clarity, and the overall user journey within the ThinkTrader app. The proposed changes aim to create a more intuitive, accessible, and user-focused trading experience by addressing pain points in navigation, hierarchy, and interaction design.
